Typewriter Header

I am a writer. I have been writing articles and creating training material for the past fifteen years for parents and professionals with foster and adopted children in their care. I writing three books including one novel and hope that I can carry these into publication.

The foundation of these articles, programs, and books has been, to put it very simply, love. In fact, it has been about even more than that — Unconditional Love. The kind of love where there is nothing a child can do to earn, and nothing a child can do to lose. The families that I write for have children who had severe trauma histories and came from hard places. This big love I write about is bigger than any behavior that a child, or adult for that matter could ever express, no matter how bad it appears.

My wife Susan and I fostered 27 kids and adopted 4 from the Virginia foster care system at ages 6, 16, 17, and 21. This was the most important work I have ever done.

I served as the president of The Post Institute for 10 years and now write articles for them.

This Author Website was created to let others know what book/writing projects I am in the process of or have published. I am grateful for your visit here and would like to invite you to sign up for very infrequent email updates on my writing and if you choose to, help me with valuable critiques in preparing books for final versions.

This is my work, my joy, and my “retired” life at this point. Helping people to come to know the possible impact that big love can have on ourselves, our family, our community, and the world around us. My writing and publishing are based on science, religion, research, psychology, philosophy, and anything I find that opens ourLove One Another hearts to more meaning, fulfillment, connection, purpose, and helps us to become more fully human. Curating other’s work and passing it along has always been important to me. I want to share helpful content as much as I want to create it.

As a result of this romance with love, I started a nonprofit, The LoveMore Institute, and a blog called The LoveMore Blog to help distribute both my own writing and curated content that hopefully has the effect of helping us all to love one another, no exceptions.
